Barney has the individual and corporate experience to help businesses secure long-term relationships with fellow businesses, individuals, the local community nonprofits and to develop a Community Giving Program for their company. His close ties to the business, equine, banking community and nonprofits over the years give him firsthand knowledge that the community expects individuals and companies to give back to those in need.
Seasoned, driven and an outgoing business development and marketing executive with over 30 years of hands on success in the exhibit, tradeshow, foodservice and retail industry where he generated record-breaking sales revenue selling sponsorships, developing corporate partnerships and event programs for companies and organizations including the prestigious non-profit organization, The Arabian Horse Association.
A multifaceted professional with a wide range of skills and experiences in trade show development as well as designing, implementing, and developing overall strategic and tactical implementation for these events. Barney is recognized in the industry as a big- picture-thinker and an engaging communicator who can develop long-term relationships that invariably produce results and make everyone a winner. He possesses a rare ability to communicate intangible ROI and difficult-to- quantify value to all his clients and make them a partner. His extensive experience in the creation, design, managing and hosting large National & International Events will give companies new exciting opportunities to show case their products and services to totally new markets including government contracts.
He is an Air Force Veteran who has developed relationships over the years with many companies including Boeing, Bechtel, John Morrell, Safeway, Bank of America, Kroger, Floorgraphics, International Equine Associations, Shamrock Foods, Sysco Foods, Film/Video Production Companies and Advertising Agencies.
CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
Negotiated first major Equine corporate partnership/free membership with Bank of American worth over $1.6M in revenue.
Re-invigorated a non-revenue producing relationship with Proxy Partner and drove an additional $800K in Sponsorship revenue during the FBR Open/Arabian Horse Equine Event.
Developed the budget for The Modern Arabian Horse Magazine, the official AHA magazine, assisting them in creating a high quality magazine earning the 2007 Pegasus Award for Media, AND the award for “Overall Excellence in Media” by the United States Equestrian Federation.
Generated substantial revenue for AHA by prospecting and developing relationships with clients include Dodge Trucks, Bank of America, Southwest Airlines, Montana Silversmiths, Target, Cisco, and many others..
A high energy, driven professional who has trained and ridden endurance horses that have completed and won 50 mile and 100 mile one day Equine Endurance rides, some in sub-zero temperatures.

Increased restaurant market share by 100% in 5 years for Hickman’s Family Farms in Colorado.
